Biography

Kim works as a health beahvior researcher at theJulius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care. By using qualitative and survey research, Kim focusses on the patient perspective, health behavior, sexual health, and health decision-making in relation to infectious diseases. She aims to make an impact hat matters with her research by playcing the opinions, perspective, and experience of patients at the forefront of healthcare and scientiefic research. Currenlty, she works on multidisciplinary projects together with patient orgaznations, such as the Dtch HIV associaito, to include the pereception of people living with HIV in HIV cure related research and prevention effotrs.

In 2020, Kim successfully defended her PhD work, called Next to Best Health Decisions; Explring two cases smoking behavior and childhood vaccinaiton. This project was a collaboration between the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Maastricht University.
